Poison Zcora returns for his third solo release of 2022 with two rugged and restless club jams. Largely made in two sessions, "Watch Them Steal An Ancient Abacus" and "Watch Me Steal It Back" see Poison at his most seething, trading the luscious and spritely motifs of his previous releases for more unhinged, stripped back and muscular sounds and ideas. The first track borrows a couple of classic patterns and timbres from the wardrobe of UK Funky, while the second dons a moth-ravaged ski mask to conduct a hangry synthetic string section over crunchy and boisterous rhythms.
